Upwork is one of the largest freelancing marketplaces. Clients post projects, freelancers send proposals using Connects (a credit you spend per proposal), and Upwork takes a service fee from what freelancers earn.
It is a very different path from a local job. Freelancing pays by the project, needs a skill clients will pay for, and takes time to win the first client. Many freshers in Punjab first want a steady job with a monthly salary — which is what LastKoin is built for.

Freelancing or a job?
Many young people in Punjab hear about earning online through Upwork. It can work, but it needs a skill clients will pay for, good written English, and patience to win the first projects — while spending Connects on proposals that may not succeed.
A local job gives a steady monthly salary, experience and references, which also make freelancing easier later.
What LastKoin does
LastKoin lists local private jobs in Punjab from approved employers — computer operator, billing, DTP, sales, teaching, back office — with a match score for every job. If a job needs a skill or qualification you do not have, you see that before you apply. A free resume builder and career assessment help you get started.
Where Upwork is the better choice
If you already have a strong skill such as writing, design, coding or video editing, and want to work for clients abroad on your own schedule, Upwork offers far more than a local job can.
Can you use both?
Yes. Many people keep a local job through LastKoin for steady income and take freelance projects on Upwork on the side.

How we score
We are LastKoin, so we are not neutral — read the scores with that in mind. To keep them useful, every criterion is judged from one person's point of view: a fresher or early-career job seeker in Punjab looking for a private job. A portal that is excellent for a senior manager in Bengaluru can score lower here, and that is not a judgement of its overall quality.
Scores come from each portal's public website and app as we found them on the review date. Features and prices change; if something here is out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.
