Shine has been one of India's national job portals since 2008. It lists office, sales, banking and IT jobs from across the country, and recruiters search its database of candidate profiles.
A fresher in a Punjab town often finds the same problems there as on other national portals: listings concentrated in big cities, English-only screens, and little help working out which jobs they actually qualify for.

Why freshers in Punjab look for a Shine alternative
Shine works well for someone applying to office jobs in a metro city. For a fresher who wants to work near home in Punjab, the listings are mostly elsewhere, and there is no way to use the site in Punjabi.
- Local town jobs get lost among national listings
- English-only screens
- Hard to tell which jobs you actually qualify for
- Resume help is a paid add-on
What LastKoin does differently
LastKoin builds your profile from your education, skills, preferred work and city, then shows jobs from approved local employers with a match score and the reasons behind it. If a job needs a skill or qualification you do not have, you see that before you apply.
Employers on LastKoin only see the people who applied to their job — there is no searchable database of job seekers.
Where Shine is still the better choice
If you have experience and want an office, banking, sales or IT job in a big city, Shine has many more of those openings. It also suits people happy to be found by recruiters searching a large national database.
Can you use both?
Yes. Use Shine for corporate openings across India and LastKoin for local Punjab jobs, a free fresher resume and career direction. Your LastKoin resume PDF can be uploaded to Shine too.

How we score
We are LastKoin, so we are not neutral — read the scores with that in mind. To keep them useful, every criterion is judged from one person's point of view: a fresher or early-career job seeker in Punjab looking for a private job. A portal that is excellent for a senior manager in Bengaluru can score lower here, and that is not a judgement of its overall quality.
Scores come from each portal's public website and app as we found them on the review date. Features and prices change; if something here is out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.
