    Start bullets with words like Handled, Prepared, Built.

What is an ATS?

An Applicant Tracking System is software companies use to collect and filter resumes. If it cannot read your resume, a recruiter may never see it.

What is a good ATS score?

The higher the better. Fix every check marked red or amber first, then check again.

Do I need a job description?

No. Without one you still get the layout, sections and writing checks. With one you also see which skills the job wants.

Can I check a resume I made somewhere else?

The checker reads resumes built on LastKoin. You can import your old PDF into your profile and build a new resume from it in minutes.

Why does a two-column resume score lower?

Many ATS tools read across both columns at once and mix up the text. A single-column template is read correctly.

Should I add skills I do not have?

No. Recruiters check skills in the interview. Add only the skills you really have that the job asks for.
