The resume builder prefills your details, education, experience and skills from your profile. On the resume itself you only add what is specific to this version: its name, a headline, achievements and the template.
Why we ask: You can keep several resumes aimed at different roles.
Example: Accounts Executive – Ludhiana
Common mistakes
Generic names like "Resume 1" — you will not tell them apart later.
Headline
The role this resume aims at, printed under your name.
Example: Full-stack developer · React & Node.js
Common mistakes
A full sentence — keep it to a short title.
Writing "Looking for a job" — name the role instead.
Achievements
Awards, hackathons, rankings and results you are proud of.
Format: One per line.
Example: Top 5% in state-level Commerce Olympiad, 2024
Template
The layout of your resume. The ★ mark shows the layout that best fits the amount of content you have; the builder suggests switching when another fits better.
Details that come from your profile
Name, contact details and links, location, experience level, summary, education, experience, skills and skill groups, projects, certifications, languages and highlights are maintained in your profile, so every resume you build stays current. Use the Edit button under "From your profile" in the builder to change them, or Import from resume PDF to fill them from a resume you already have. A resume’s own headline and achievements, when set, take the place of the profile headline and highlights.
Score, download and public sharing
Resume score
A score out of 100 with tips for what to add or tighten.
Download
On your resumes list, downloads a PDF of a saved resume in its template.
Public username
Sets the address of your public resume: /u/your-username.
Format: 3–24 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens. It cannot start or end with a hyphen, and some words are reserved.
Example: asha-developer
Enable public sharing
Turns your public resume link on or off. Set a username and create at least one resume first. With more than one resume, choose the "Primary resume to share".
Why we ask: HR or anyone with the link can view it without a login.
Frequently asked questions
How detailed should my resume be?
+
One page for freshers and most roles up to about five years of experience. Keep each line about a result, not a duty.
Can I have more than one resume?
+
Yes. Build a separate resume for each kind of role you are applying for, each with its own headline and template. Only one — your primary resume — is shared on your public link.
Why can I not edit my education on the resume page?
+
Education, experience and skills live in your profile so every resume stays in sync. Use the Edit button under "From your profile" in the builder.
Is the resume builder free?
+
Yes. Building, previewing and downloading resumes is free.
Who can see my public resume?
+
Anyone with your /u/ link, while public sharing is on. Turn sharing off to hide it.
